Section 1.. That it shan be unlaWful for any person,'.,
persons, firm or corporation to erect any building, shed, fence,
storehouse, barn or any other structuré of any description what- 1

soever within the corporate limits of 'the City of Okeechobee,
Florida, w1thóut first obtaining a permit in 'writing, signed

by the Chairman of the City Council, attested by the city Clerk .

under his seal, and approved by the Mayor of the City.

Section 2. That upon application by any person, per-
sons, firm or corporation for a building permit as required by
section one of this ordinance, the said arty Council shall con-
sider the same, and if found to be such a building" ,shed, fence,
storehouse, barn or other structure that would not be dangerOus 1
unsightly or improper and suitable for the location desired,

then and in that event, if so found by the City Council, a per-
mit shall be furnished authorizing such structure, but not
ot¡~~ise. .
Section 3~ That it shall be unlawful for any person,
persons, firm or corporation to erect within the City of Okee- '0

stable,. blacksmith shop or wagon repair shop, and no permit shall .~
be given for the erection thereof.
Section 4. That shall any person be adjudged guilty
of a violation of any part .of this ordinance, he shall be pun-:-
ished by a fine not to exceed $5QÐ.00 or by imprisonment for \

three months or both in the discretion of the Court.

¡ Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective upon

was present during the remainder of the session.
Jr. W. E. Holmes presented report of the City census
and same was accepted and ordered filed.
Motion was made by Councilman Hampton seconded by
Oouncilman.Berka that Council permit the'oitizens of East Okee-
chobee to build a cattle guard on the Okeeohobee- rt.Pearce road,
and the C~ty furnish the oe.ent, lumber and nails need~d,. and
said cattle guard to be built under the supervision of Oouncil-
man Hampton. Motion oarried~
President DeYarman suggested that Council consider
finishing the sewer system at an early date and after discussing
the matter it was referred to the street committee.
Upon motion by Councilman Adams seconded by Councilman
Hampton and dU¡y carried the Clerk was instructed to collect all
personal taxes delinquent on the 1921 tax roll and report all
unpaid at the expiration of ten days to the Chief of Polioe for
collection. .
Upon motion by Councilman Adams seconded by Councilman
~~on,. and carried the Clerk was instructed to cancel the fol-
lowing tax certificates of the sale of 1922: 50.5,10,14 and
