The City Council met ill regular sessjon this 15th day of August,
1922 with the following members present:

Also present were' Geo. F. Parker and W. W. Dunnicliff.
Mrs. Van Poll and Mrs. Siglow came before the City Council with
the request that the landings on both sides of the river on the
street leading east from the North side of the publi8 school
block be fixed up in such manner and shape that the school
children could pass with comfprt and safety.
.These ladies also brought up the matter of the safety of the
ferry boat on which the children cross the riTer.
The Chairman of the Street Committee was instructed to look over
the street approaches to the river, as referred to above, and
make the necessary repairs.
The Chairman advised the ladies that the :ferr)' boat problem
was a matter for them to take up with the School Board.
Op motion made by Councilman J. S. Underhill and seconded by
Councilman O. O. DaTis, the City Clerk was instructed to transfer
¡1000.00 from the Sewer Fund to the Water Works fund.
Motion carried unanmmouSI)'.
On motion made by J. S. Underhill, Davis the
Council adJourned.

for worK on the water and sewer mains, motion was made by O. O.
Davis, and seconded by CotW.cilm¡¡Ul J. S. Underhill, that}¡J.r. E.
R. Smith be paid '21.00 per week. ~otion was unanimous.
On request.of President Goode, the Chair was turned over to Cou!lcil-
ma.u Davis, who assumed same, while CoUilcilman Goode put the folloWiüg
motion:
RESOLVED that W. T. Goode be relieved of the labors imposed ö:n him
at a former Council meeting, of putting in sewers, water mains, septic
tanks, etc. and that this work be turned over tu R. E.-Willis, City
Engineer, 8ffeoti Te immediately.
This motion was seconded byR. E. McLaugh~in and carried unanimously.
.r. Good then assumed the Chair as President of Council.
Motion was made by J. S. Underhill and seconded by Councilman O. o.
Davis, that .on account of the low finanoial condition of the
Water Works Fund the City dispense with the services of John Dancy.
This mati-on was Wlanimous.
On motion of R. E. McLaughlin, aeconded by O. O. DaYis Chief of
