On account of the 4t1.t of July 1922 being a legal hoëHday, the ci t~' Counc il, by unanimous agreement, met in regular session 5hiw 6th day of July 1922 with the f'0110wing members present: W. T. Goode, Pres. of the Council H. C. Adan~s, Councilman O. o. Davis, " R. E. McLaughlin;' ". J. S. Underhill Also present were Geo. F. Parker, City Attorney, R. E. Willis, City Engineer, W. W. Dunnicliff, City Clerk. The minutes of June 20th were read and unanimously approved as read. Motion was made by CouncilmanO. O. Davis, seconded by Councilman H. C. Adams, that the Clerk be authorized to notify the Bank of Okeechobee to stop payment onVoucher No. 153, Water Works Fund in laTor of Cameron & Barkley Co" Jacksonville, Florida. and issue duplicate voucher in lieu thereof. Motion was unanimous. On motion made by Councilman H. C. Adams and seconded by Councilman J. S. Underhill a Resolution was unanin¡ously adopted, relative to the completion of the paved streets and the assessments of the twe- thirds of the costs òn certain lots listed in said resolution. Said Resolution, consisting of ten typewritten pages, being a part of these minutes, and filed in the metal file of the City Clerk's office under letter uR". This Resolution was passed at this meeting by a unanimous vote. - ; ) . . ' Mr. Henry Lewis made a complaint before the Council that the City Chief of Police, 1. E. Davis, had shot his colt, which had been struck by an unknown càr upon the streets of the Ci~y, and had its leg broken. He valued the colt at .$1009 and suggested that the City pay him J50 as damages. The Council dismissedtll&.matter, for the time being, claiming that in as much as Mr. 'Lelr's had looked at the colt with the broken leg and then apparently abandoned same, the Chi~f of Police had a r~ght to dispose of the animal and relieve it of its suffering. All bills due were ordered paid. Motion was made by Councilman H. C. Adams, seconded by Councilman O. O. Davis, that M8. J. c.. Dancy be employed as City Pumper and Engineer at the City pumping station, at a salary of $100 per month, effective June 19, 1922. Carried unanimously. Motion was made by Councilman R. E. Adams, R. E. McLaughlin was made ~emporary Chairman in the absence of W. T. Goode. McLaughlin that the bill presented to the City by Mr. W. R. Gary, for the' death of a pointer dog, be handed to Mr. L. E. DaTis Py the Qlerk, and that ,he, Mr. DaTis, be requested to ~ettle same and bring the bill befo re the Ci ty Council showing ths. tit had been settled. This motion varried unani~ously. Motion WallLl&de b~ H. C. AdamS and seconded by J. S. Underhill that a telephone be installed in the City Pumping Station. Carried unanimously. The Chief of the Fire Department was instructed to wove the chemical truck from Bowden's garage to the City pumping station. On motion made by Councilman H. C. Adams, seconded by Counciln:¡an R. E.
