that the City Council engage a Regist~red Engineer tò design and
make plans of septic tanks for œur Sewerage Systems and submit same
to the ~te Board of Health for approv~l.
The matter of securing the necessar~ plans together with plans of
concrete reinforcement for septic tanks was left with Mayor D. E.
Austin.
On motion of Councilman O. O. Davis, seconded by Councilman H. C.
Adams which motion was unanimous, the City Clerk, W. W.Durmicliff
was instructed to complete the contract with Fairbanks, Morse and
Company for pump and engine and to order same Shipped forward at once,
mailing them voucher for-the cash payment required in the contract.

the consÞruc~ion or a building suitable for a pumping station at the
City Water WorLs lots, and .rrange for the installation of the
machinery and fixtures complete for pumping water.

It was suggeeted by the City Clerk that the City Engineer be
laid off and onl~ have hiœ when the services of an engineer was

The City Clerk, Dunnicl\fft also requested that the Cemetery be
.surTeyed and put in shape so that deeds could be made.
The lliatter of the safety of the public school was talked OTer and the
Council.oalled in County SQperintendent of Public Instruction 1.0
ascertain what steps if any were being taken to repair same and IDake

Motion was made by Councilman Adams, seconded by Councilman O. O. DaTis
that ~r. W. R. Gary's check of $l,OOO.OOt which was paid in at the
time his bid was presented for the City of Okeechobee Water-Sewerage
Time Warrants, be returned to him. Motic,n carried unanimously and
the check was returned.
President Good made a report relatiTe to his interview with the
Sup't of the Light plant and statêd that the extensions of the
serYice would be made as soon as poles could be secured.
Motion was ffiade by Councilman o. O. Davist seconded by Councilman
R. C. Adams, that the City Cou~cil pay the Maule Paving Company
$3 tOOO .00 on account of the 255~ which is being retained on their
paving contract. Motion was unanimous.
