Mr. A. C. Newman ore the Bureau of Engineering of I,he Stat,6 Board oi
Heallin made a talK before 'Lhe ~i ty Conúcilin Wi'liCIl he.:ecommended
that the City Council engage a Registered Engineer to design and
make plans of septic tanks for dJur Sewerage Systems and submit same
to the ~te Board of Health for approv~l.

The matter of securing the necessary plans together with plans of
concrete reinforcement for septic tanks was left with Mayor D. E.
Austin.
On motion of Councilman O. O. DaYie, seconded by Councilman H. C.
Adams which motion was urianimous, the City Clerk, W. W.Dunnicliff
was instructed to complete the contract with Fairbanks, Morse and
Company for pump and engine and to order same shipped forward at once,
llîailing them Toucher for-the cash payment required in the contract.

President of the Co~cil, W. T. Goode was instructed to superintend
the construcliion OJ:' abuildiúg suitable for a pumping station at the
City Water WorKs lots, and arrange for the installation of the
machinery and fixtures complete iorpumping water.
ÌiÏotion to this effect was made by Councilman O. O. DaTis and seconded
by Couuoilmall H. C. .Adams. Same carried Ul.I.8.LJ.imously.
Motion was made by Councilffil:Ul H. C. Adams and duly seconded that the
