Mr. WID. Collin. .came before the 01 ty Council wi th a request for the
lumber taken out of the culvert east of Taylor's .Creek bri.ge for
use in the construction of a Base Ball grand stand. .
~he Council, thinking it for the best interest of the City passed'
the following resolution, made by Councilman H. C. Adams, and seconded
by 0.0.. DaTis that the lumber removed from the small. culvert in
North Park Street next east of Taylor's Creek bridge b, and is
hereby donated to the Ball Club of Okeechobee. Motion carried
unanimousl;)!.
On motion of Councilman H. C. Adams and seconded by Councilman O. O.
Davis, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous Tote.
RESOLVED,
WHEREAS, "~h.re has been manjl com)laints. recently as to filthy
quality of the Ice furnished the Citizens by the Southern utilities
Ice plant. T~REFORE, be it resolTed, that the State Board of Health
is hereby requested to fully inTestigate the making and quality of the
ice made, with a vi ew to the furnishing of ice of heal thy qu~.li ty and
~ree from filth to the citizens of Okeechobee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tl~t the Clerk is hereby instructed to
transmit a copy of this resolution to the Stat~ Board of Health
wi thout dela~.
