Mayor and City Council, City of Okeeohobee, Flo~ida. Gentlemen: In reference to the Sanitary Sewer System to be èomp1eted in your city and for which you have advertised for BIDS on same. We wish to say that inasmuch as there ar~. no speoifioplans on file in the offioe of your oity clerk pertain- ing to thia wo~ we presume that the installation is to be handled regular with a cost plus for all extra work' ordered done. In making up our proposal we have listed all labor and . materials, less sewer pupe, man hole rings and oovers, rpam hole steps '. "Y" Branohes, Elbows" plugs and oapS. You will note that we have listed all lumber as an e*,-a item, we have done this because there will be places where all pipe .hould be 1ayed on foot boards to insure an even alignment, , and a tru.egrade. You will also note that we have submitted prices on pipe compound, we consider this essential where pupe is layed in wat~r, for joints so made with this oompotUld are absolutely tight and there fore no 1n~llteration can ezist there by eliminating sewer stoppage by quick sand. We are also submitting you this p~oposal together with the plans of a septic 1umk especially designed by us _r your city. On àooount of the short time between our Mr. Green's visit to your Ci ty on sept. 'th., and the letting of t big work, we have been unable to have these plans aooeptedby the State Boa.J:d of Health; . however our proposal is there by conditional upon these plans being . . accepted by the State Board of Health. RELATIVE to the purchase of your Time Warrants issued by your city to complete this work, we wish to state that we will purchase theae warrants fro~ your city allowing you par for aame. I. pipe and fittings for each tank for the' sum of $515.00 (It is quite likely that the state :Board of Health will permit us to build these tanks and omit the cast -iron pipe and fittings. This will not leasen the t~rs efficienay.) In event that our company is aw~ded this contract, we reserve the right to await favorable weather working conditions and it is understood that all work shall be disoont&nued during the rainy season. Green Engineering and Contracting Company, and whereas it is necessary that the City Council have time for investigation of said bid, THEREFORE be it resolved that the City Council adjourn and meet again on the 27th dç- of September 1911 at 7(0 'clock p.m. for the further oonsidera- tion thereof.
