Upon motion by Councilman Raifsnider, seconded by Councilman Roe and t
carried, the City agreed to pay Insurance premium for Chief of Police automobile,
amount of which is $30.00.

Councilman Raulerson presented the following Ordinance and moved its
adoption. Upon being seconded by Councilman Roe and carried, Ordinance was duly
passed and aopted:

. AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF TRUCKS, OTHER THAN
PICK-UP AND ONE TON TRUCKS, ON PARROTT AVE~UE BETWEEN THE INTERSECTIONS
OF SAID PARROTT AVENUE WITH SEVENTH STREET AND EIGHTH STREET IN THE CITY
OF OKEEOHOBEE, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THIS
0 ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
O.KEECHOBEE; FLORID.:
0 Section 1. That on and after the 15th day of .January, A. D.
1.942, all trucks, other than pick-up and one ton trucks, are prohibited
from parking on Parrott Avenue, in the City of Okeechobee, between the
tXlterseotions of Seventh and Eighth Streets with said Parrott Avenue.
Providing, however, that trucks will be permitted to park at filling
stations in said prohibited areas for the purpose of purchasing fuel
and other necessities in connection with the operation of trucks.
Section 2. Any person or persons violating the provisions of
Section 1 of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine by the Mayor of
not less th~1 ten nor more than one Hundred Dollars or imprisonment in
the City Jail not more than thirty days or both such fine an4 imprison-
ment, in the descretiom of the ~ayor. I
Section 3. Tho City Council shall cause suitable signs to be
0 erected giving due notice of said area.
; Section 4. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
0 herewi th be and the same are hereby repealed.
PASSED and ADOPTED in regular session this 5th day of January,
