Pursuant to adjourament the City. Council of the 01ty of Okaechobee, Florida,
met at 7: 30 P. 11.. at the Oi ty Hall on the above date and the following were present:

Upon motion of Councilman Raifsnider, seconded by Councilman Roe and carried,
the proposed Budget for the year 1941-42 was adopted.

Council will not pa.y for publishing the minutes of its proceedings in the future.
Upon motion by Councilman Raifsnider, secònded by Councilman Raulerson and
carried, the Council went into executive session.
The Council came into open session.

4IÞ Section 1. That the City of Okeechobee, Florida, 'hereby
levies a tax of ()g mills on each dollar valuation of real and
personal property within the corporate limits of the City of
Okeechobee, Florida, for the yeo.r 1941; such taxes shall be
assessed and collected in the manner provided by law, PROVIDED
HOWEVER, that no taxes spall be assessed against homesteads
having a valuation of 85,000.00 and less; homesteads having a
~aluat10n of more than $5,000.00 shall be assessed on such
amounts in excess of 15,000.00, except as provided in Section
I. 2 of th1s0rd~çe,
~ction 2. That 27 wills of such tax shall 1;>e used for
G~eral City purposes and shall be assessed for the General
Fund of said Oity. That ten (10) mills of such tax shall be
assessed for the payment dd sàtisfaot1on of that certain judg-
ment obtained by Yeoman's Mutual Life Insurance Oompany, aga1ns~
