Stewart, Fire Chief; C. C. McCain, Water Supt; and R. C. Evans, epecial Policeman in attenda.ne. Minutes of the last mseting wers read and adopted. 'President Raulerson appointed a sanitary committee to inspect Turnipeeed A¡:artments on sanitation. . L. L. Conrad, Chief of Police, appsarsd before the Council and aeked I for thirty days extension on his vacation. Councilman Hùn't made motion to gran1¡ . , Mr. Conrad's requsst. Motion was seconded by Qouncilman Brass and carried. Motion was mads to adjourn. COli. ncilman Hunt seconded the motion and upon being put to a vote was unanimously adopted: MEMORIAL WHEREAS, God in His wisdom has seen fit to take from our midst A. W. Brass, Sr.; on May 22, 1940, and WHEREAS, the passing of said A. W. Brass, Sr. is a. loss to the City of Okeechobee, and WHEREAS, the late A. W. Brass, Sr. was a faithful and loyal tÞ citiz~ ~d eened the City of Okeoohobee ~ returned efHeiem I e¡¡d faithful service, and. .' . WHEREAS, A. W. Brass, Sr. numbered his many friends in all walks of life from men of distinction and power to the lowly and obscure. NOW, THEREFORE, BEIIT RESOLVED by the City officials of the City of Okoochobee, Florida, in regtùar session assembled, this 4th day of June, A. D. 1940 that we tender to the family of said A. W. Bre-ss, Sr. our sincfi1re and heart-felt sympathy in their sorrow and loss, and further, that a copy of this Memorial be delivered to the family of the deceased, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this MemoriuJ. be spread upon the minutfi1s of the City Council of the City of Okeechob88, Florida.
