FAMILY IS PROPOSING TO CONSlRUCT AN INDOOR RECREATION CENTER AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER
OF PARROTT AVE. AND N.E. 7tH ST. THERE ARE THREE LOTS AT THIS LOCATION ON WHICH IS PROP-
OSED A 6,000 SQ. FT. BUILDING AND 21 PARKING SPACES. THE CllY LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS
REQUIRE THIS FACIUlY TO HAVE A TOTAL OF 30 SPACES. WHICH MAKES A SHORTAGE OF 9 SPACES
A T THE SI1E. IT IS PROPOSED TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE ON THE TWO LOTS FOR WHICH THIS
SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS BEING REQUESTED. THE CURRENT ZONING OF THIS LAND IS RSF-1 AND SECTION
90-103 (5) ALLOWS .OFF SlREET PARKING AND ACCESS TO A COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE IN A COMM-
ERCIAL ZONING. AS A SPECIAL EXCEPTION. THIS PARKING LOT IS PROPOSED TO CONTAIN 11 PARKING
SPACES, MOST OF WHICH WILL BE USED BY EMPLOYEES. THE INDOOR RECREATION FAClUlY IS TO BE
LOCATED IN THE NEXT BLOCK TO THE WEST AND WILL PRIMARILY SERVE THE YOUTH OF OKEECHOBEE.
IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT MANY CHILDREN WILL COME IN GROUPS AND WILL BE DROPPED OFF AT THE
FACIUlY. THE OWNER DOES NOT ANTICIPATE ANY PARKING PROBLEMS AND THE PROPOSED SATEWTE
