Re: Uniform Land Use Application for Special Exception
Parcel 3-15-35-37-0010-01440-0030
Lot 3 and the West 10 feet of Lot 2, Block 144,
City of Okeechobee
To Whom It May Concern:
The two-story duplex located on the subject property was built in 2000 by Mike and
Patricia Powell and purchased on December 26, 2002 by Haynes and Susan Williams.
Recently, the property was rezoned to Light Commercial. The downstairs was occupied
by a real estate brokerage and the upstairs is rented out as a two-bedroomlone-bath
apartment totaling 576 square feet.
According to city ordinance, we need a special exception for the apartment. Due to the
shortage of rental property in Okeechobee, we feel the public is best served by allowing
the continued use of the upstairs as a dwelling unit.
We respectfully submit this application for the special exception for the upstairs
apartment.

Affidavit Attesting to the Completeness and Accuracy
of the List of Surrounding Property Owners
I hereby certify under the penalty of law or the revocation of the requested approval sought
that to the best of my knowledge and belief, the attached list constitutes the complete and
accurate list of the property owners, addresses, and parcel identification numbers of all
parcels and tracts within three hundred (300) feet not including intervening streets, alleys,
or waterways, of the perimeter of the lands which are subjects of, or are contiguous to but
held under the same ownership as, the lands subject to the application for a change in land
use or zoning, said list constituting a portion of that application. This affidavit is made
based upon an inspection of the tax rolls of the Property Appraiser of Okeechobee County
as of ,111nl? ?1 ,2005 and the assertions made to me by
members of that Office that the information reviewed constitutes the most recent
information available to that office. I therefore attest to this 17th day of
