REQUEST STATEMENT
Dear Members of the Board
When I bought the property in 1978 the property was being used tor several tasks. There was a
heavy construction. rental, equipment repair. sandblasting. painting and welding business
already in operation. As time has past my son Philip has primarily been doing septic tank work as
well as earthmoving. Now my grandson would like to start his business doing motorcycle
services. This property will be his one day and he needs to be able to make a living off the
property just as I and his tather have for so many years. So I humbly request that you grant this
special exception to me so we can continue on in our endeavors.

INTENDED USE STA TE:VfENT
Our intention is to build a new building 30x75 and that 30x50 be used tor the motorcycle service
and the remaining 30x25 be the service area for the existing septic and earthmoving business that
is already in place. We plan to rework the yard area and in co~unction with the new hotel create
new boundary fencing to make the appearance from h\V"j 441 look more appealing. Overall our
plan is to beautif~/ the property and make more usable for the future.

Hearing Dates for Rezonings, Special Exceptions, Variances,
Comprehensive Plan and Uniform Land Development Code Amendments
The City ofOkeechobee Board of Adjustments, Land Planning Agency and Planning Board meet on the fourth Tuesday
of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 55 S.E. Third Avenue, Okeechobee, Florida. If
there are no applications submitted to any specific Board prior to the deadline that Board will not convene.
A completed application, supporting documents and appropriate filing fee must be submitted by the cut-off date to be
scheduled for the next available hearing date. Incomplete applications will not be scheduled until they are complete.
Submit completed applications to the General Services Department, 55 S.E. Third Avenue, Room 101, Okeechobee,
Florida, 34974. The Department suggests that the applicant or a representative attend each hearing.
Application must be received Board of Adjustments, Land Tentative City Council
