M. on the above date, with the following members present: W. J. Hendry, Mayor, H. H. Raulerson, President of City Council, Cowlcilmon E. H. Lott, O. L. Hwû, with Alma Shcrm~n, Deputy City Clerk, T. W. Conal , City Attorney, O. C. McC~in, w~ter Superintendent and L. L. Conrad, Chief of Polico in u.ttendenco. Minutes of the le.st mooting were read and ..dopted~. Mr. A. W. Brass appeared before tho Council relative to W P A project for 4IÞ repairing the WomD~ls Club. The Council not h~ving any funds avail~ble agreed that work on the County Jail should first be done. .1 Tho following bills of Soharfchwerdt Brothera were approved and ordered paid: September, 1938 - $2.65 October, 1938 - 1.87 November, 1938 - 5.00 December, 1938 - 2.40 January, 1939 - 40.55 Oowlcilman Lott rendered a report on condition of Water Department and stated that a complete survey would be made for tho purpose of improving conditions of said department. Upon motion of Cowlcilman Lott, seconded by Councilman Hwû and c~rried, all Churches within the City will be furnished water, up to five thousand gs.llons, froG of. cost, boginning with February, wltil further notice. The Water Superintendent W~S instructed to purchase twenty-five water meters imediately.
