1939-01-03 Incoming 595 Okeochoboc, Ilorida January 3, 1939 t Tho retiring City Council and the incoming City Council together with other incoming officials of the City of Okoechobce, Florida, met in the City Hall, at 7:30 P. M. and the following were present: W. J. Hendry, H. H. Raulerson, E. H. Lott, H. G. Culbreth, S. M. Swain, O. L. Hunt, Alto Watford, L. L. Conrad, T. W. Conely. T. W. Conoly then administered the oath of office to Alto Watford to serve as City Clerk of the City of Okoechoboo, Florida, for the term beginning January' 3rd, 1939. T. W. Conely then administered the oath of office to L. L. Oomrad to serve as Ohiof of Police of the City of Okoechobee, Florida, for the term beginning January 3rd, 1939. Upon motion by Councilman Culbreth, seconded by Councilman Swain, Council- man Raulerson was elected temtora.ry Chairman. Councilman Lott nominated Councilman ~ulerson for President of City Counc 1, nomination was seconded by Councilman Culbreth and upon vote being taken Councilman Raulerson was elected President of the City Council. . . Councilman Swain nominated Councilman Culbreth for President pro-tem of th I ,', - City Council, nomination was seconded by Councilman Hunt and upon vote being taken Cowlcilman Culbreth was elected President pro-tem of tho City Council. 4IÞ Councilman Hunt nominated T. W. Conely for City Attorney, nomination was seconded by Councilman Lott and upon vote being taken T. W. Conely was olectcdCity Attorney, of the City of Okcechoboe, Florida, salary to be $25.00 por month. - Councilman Lott made motion to select tho first Tuesday of each month, at 7:30 P. M. as r~gula.r mooting nights of the City Council for the next two yoars. Motion was seconded by Councilman C~übreth and carried. NO. 19t5 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION TWENTY NINE OF ORDINANCE NO. gg or THE CITY OF OKEEOHOBEE, FLORIDA, BEING AN ORDINANCE CREATING A WATER COMMITTEE AND A SUPERINTENDENT OF WATER WORKS FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SAID COMMITTEE AND SUPERINTENDENT,' THEIR Q,UALIFICATIONS AND FUNOTIONS; PRESCRIBING THE MANNER AND MEANS IN V~ICH WATER CONNECTIONS MAY BE MADE; PROHIBITING UNAUTHORIZED OONNECTIONS AND DESTRUCTION OR DAMAGE TO THE WATER SYSTEM OF OKEECHOBEE AFORESAID, AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND PRESCRIBING WATER RATES FOR SAID CITY AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR THE NON-PAYMENT OF SAID WATER RATES AND PROVIDING FOR PU1USHMENT FOR VIOLATIOli OF ANY OF THE REGULATIONS IN SAID ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH SAME.
