Alto Watford, City Tax Assessor, presented the Tax Assessment Roll for the
I year 1938, to the Oity Council for a veiwing and equalization.
. President H. H. Raulerson announced that the Oouncil was ready to receive
and coneider objections to the valuations on the said Assessment Roll. The Tax
Assesso~ announc~d that np Objections had been filed with him. The Oounci 1 proceede
to insp~ot the Tax Roll for the Year 1938 and no complaint s har¡ ing been reoei ved,
upon motion duly seconded, the Tax Roll was returned to the City Clerk, as TaX Asses
or, for completion.
Uþon motion the Council adjourned until November 2, 1938.

The City Cpunci! of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in adjourned
session ôn the above date at the Oity Hall, with the following members present:

Attorney.
Mr. S. R. Raifsnider appeared before the City Council asking the City Ooun 1
to allow the Methodist Church water without charge. After some discussion President
Raulerson referred this matter to the Water Committee.

I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE KAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY or OKEEOHOBEE,
FLORIDA:

That the City of Okeechobee, Florida, hereby levies a tax of Two Hundred
and nine (209) mills on each dollar valuation of real and personal property withln 0
the corporate limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, for the year 1938, such
taxes shall be assessed and collected in the aanner provided by law, PROVIDID HOW-

EVER, that no taxes shall be assessed against homesteads having a valuation of
Five :Thousand <15,000.00) Dollars and less, and homesteads having a valuation of
more than $5,000.00 shall not be taxed on the first $5,000.00, as herein before
provided, except as provided in Section 2 of this Ordinance. ". A I
