That the respondent is granted an extension of time of days without penalty to correct the violation and the matter is set for review at the next hearing on 20 2. B. CONCLUSIONS OF LAW: The owner of the property described above has been found in violation of Chapter 30 Sec 30 -44 General cleaning & beautification. C. ORDER: The Code Enforcement Board, City of Okeechobee, has determined that you have violated the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 30 Section 30-44 General cleanin and beautification concerning your property located at 1100 Blk NW 6th Street Okeechobee FL . If you do not correct the violation within three (3) days from receipt of this notice , or notify the Code Enforcement Officer of the correction, the Board imposes a fine of $ 25.00 per day commencing that date and continuing daily until the violation is corrected or the city is notified r- by you and verifies the correction, which ever first occurs. Further, if you do not correct violation by said date, a copy of this order as a claim of lien, shall be recorded in the office of the Clerk of Circuit Court, Okeechobee County, Florida, and once recorded, becomes a lien on real and personal property pursuant to Florida Statute 162. You have a right within thirty days, to appeal this finding and order by Writ of Certiorari to the Circuit Court, Okeechobee County, Florida. If you correct the violation prior to the above date, it is your obligation to contact the Code Enforcement Officer to verify such compliance. As you recall the property was found to be in violation of Ch 30 Sec. 30 -44 General cleaning by the Code Enforcement Board on June 10, 2008. Davis Code Enforcement lien Dear Mr. Underhill: It has come to our attention at the City that you purchased the Arthur Davis lots in the Northwest Addition, on March 17, 2010. We are advising that these Tots were cited by the city code enforcement hoard, and liens filed against the lots in the public record on July 25, 2008, which can he found at OR book 6.57. Page 840, and OR Book 679 Page 966. I imagine that no title search was done for this purchase; however. Mr. Davis was notified by the city on many occasions of the code violations, and was well aware of the liens when he sold the property to you. 'l'he lien operates much like a mortgage; the debt is against the land itself, and continues to be a debt even if ownership changes hands. This lien will remain against the property until the liens are paid. From the date of filing to the date of your purchase, the amount owed to satisfy the liens is a total of $ 20,175.00 .
