Member Gamiotea moved to dispense with reading and approve Summary of Board Action for January
11, 2000, seconded by Member Ballinger.
Motion carried unanimously.
Chief Tomey requested Case#00-03-05 be dismissed due to the fact that they had paid for their
Occupational License.

CODE BOARD ACTION
Code Enforcement Officer Tomey advised that according to the attorney Mr. Brantley has 90 days to
comply. If he does not do so the City of Okeechobee has the option of either foreclosing or continuing
the lien indefinitely. The responsibility of the Code Enforcement Board is to make a recommendation to
the City Council whether to foreclose or continue to hold the lien.
Member Worley moved that the Code Enforcement Board make a recommendation to the City Council
that after 90 days they foreclose on the lien, seconded by Member Gamiotea.

Chairperson Montesi advised this recommendation would be presented at the City Council meeting on
April 4, 2000 she asked that all Code Enforcement Board Members try to attend this meeting.
Member Worley moved that Case#'s 00-03-02, 00-03-03, 00-03-04, 00-03-06 and 00-03-07 be tabled
until the next meeting on April 11, 2000 and to ask Code Enforcement Officer Tomey to make personal
contact with these people in an attempt to resolve this matter, seconded by Member Sweda.

Member Worley moved to adjourn, seconded by Member Ballinger. Meeting Adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
