CODE BOARD ACTION March 14, 2000 Code Enforcement Board meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairperson Montesi. Did not have the Pledge of Allegiance. Present Present Present Present Absent (Jamie Gamiotea filled the seat for Matt Seder) Present Present Present Present Present Present Member Gamiotea moved to dispense with reading and approve Summary of Board Action for January 11, 2000, seconded by Member Ballinger. Motion carried unanimously. Okeechobee, FL 34974 00-03-04 Norton Cleaners Operating a business in the City without an 400 S. Parrott Avenue Occupational License. Okeechobee, FL 34974 00-03-06 James Almond, Surveyor Operating a business in the City without an 2020 S. Parrott Avenue Occupational License. Okeechobee, FL 34974 00-03-07 Conrad Photography Operating a business in the City without an 1117 SW 9th Street Occupational License. Okeechobee, FL 34972 CODE BOARD ACTION Code Enforcement Officer Tomey advised that according to the attorney Mr. Brantley has 90 days to comply. If he does not do so the City of Okeechobee has the option of either foreclosing or continuing the lien indefinitely. The responsibility of the Code Enforcement Board is to make a recommendation to the City Council whether to foreclose or continue to hold the lien. Member Worley moved that the Code Enforcement Board make a recommendation to the City Council that after 90 days they foreclose on the lien, seconded by Member Gamiotea. Montesi-Yes Ballinger -Yes Nelson -Yes O'Connor -Yes Gamiotea-Yes Sweda-Yes Worley -Yes Motion Carried Chairperson Montesi advised this recommendation would be presented at the City Council meeting on April 4, 2000 she asked that all Code Enforcement Board Members try to attend this meeting.
