Councilman Domer made motion to resoend his vote on the application for a
building permit presented tò Oouncil on October 5, 1936 by W.O. Mealor. Motion
was duly seconded and carried.

Councilman Singletary made motion that the following names be erased or
steloken from the City Registration Books and that the City Clerk be authort.ed
to advertise the list of names in tþe Okeechobee News, which is the local newspaper.
Motion was seconded by Councilman Domer and was carried.

The City Council met in adjourned session on the above date with the following
present: H. H. Hancock, Mayor, Councilmen H. H. Raulerson, Singletgry and T. T.
Coleman, with Alto Watforq, City Clerk, R. O. Evans, Chief police, N. O. Stewart, ",
Fire Chief, L. O. Tootle, Water Superintendent, and T. W. Conely, Jr., City
Attorney, in attendance. .
Councilman Singletary presented the following resolution and moved its
adoption, and upon being seconded by Oo~cilman Coleman was put to a vote and
unanimously passed and adopted:

WHEREAS, this Council is authorized to prescribe rules and regulations for
the coDducting of elections, not inconsistent with tbD la.s of the State of Florid,
and whereas th. Council deems it necessary and to the best interest of said city th t
an &ssessmsnt be placed on all oandidates seeking election in the General City Eleo ion I~
to be held on the first day of December, 1936.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that all candidates seeking a City office in
said general election be, and they are hereby required to pay a qUB.lificatton fee
of five dollar. on arbefore the tent~ d~ of NovemberJ 1936. Any person who fails

pay said fee within the time herein specified shall not be entitled to have his
I name placed on the ballot -for said general election to be held on December 1st. 193 .

CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, BEING AN ORDINANOE AMENDING THE
TITLE, AND SECTION 10 OF ORDINANCE NO. 163 OF THE CITY OF
OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, BEING AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING LICENSE AND
OTHER TAXES ON THE MANUFACTURE, DISTRIBUTION AND SitE OF
BEVERASES CONTAINING MORE THAN ONE PER CENTU1l OF ALOOHOL,
PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT AND OOLLECTION THEREOr AND PRESCRIB-
ING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCI~ OF THE CITY OF
OKEEOHOBEE, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That section two of Ordinance Number 175 be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows: I section' 2. That Section 10 of Ordinance
163 of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, is hereby amendad to read as
foll..s: "Section 10. No 1ic,nse issued under the provisions of this
orlinance shall be granted to a vendor whose place of business is or sha1
be within 1500 feet of an established school or church".
SEOTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinanc;3s in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediatt!; upon its passage
