of being a person of good moral character and no such license shall be issued to
any firm or corporation unless the president of such corporation or the general
manager of such firm shall haTe the reputation of being a person of good moral
I character.
Section 5.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this
Ordinance, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than $100.00 or
be imprisoned not more than sixty days or both such fines and imprisonment in the
descretion of the Mawor.
Sect ion 6.
All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith be, and the
same are hereby repealed.
Section 7.
This Ordinance shall take effect imediate1y upon its passlle by the City
Council and approval by the Mayor or upon its becoming a law without such approval.
Read a first time and by unanimous consent passed to a seconed reading.

Read a th~rd time and was unanimously adopted in open session. of the City

met in special session at the City Hall on the above date, at 6:00 P. M. with the
. following present: H. H. Hancock, Mayor, Councilmen Hunt, Raulerson and Domer, with
Alto Watford, City Clerk, T.W.Oone1y, Jr., City Attorney ani W. 8. A. Henderson,
Fire Chief. '
MaJOr Hancock stated that meeting of Oounci1 had been called for the pur-
pose of giving new opt'on on the Eagle Bay Bonds. ..
Mr. Wm Griffis ap~eared before the Council asking for an extention on Eagle
Bay Bonds to January 1,1930.

The following was presented by Councilman Raulerson who moved its adoption,
and seoonàed by Councilman Domer and put to a vote was unanimously carried:

an Agreement with Trustees of the Eagle Bay Sub-Drainage District on the 31st day
of October, A. D. 1934 wnerein it was agreed that the said City of Okeechobee would
sell twenty-five bonds of the Eagle Bay Sub-Drainage District to Reconstruction
Finance Corporation, its agents, or to said Trustees of said Eagle Bay Sub-Drainage
District for the SUM of 5'fø flat, and
WHEREAS, said option has not been exercised and Trustees of Eagle Bay Sub-
Drainage District are desirous of obtaining a ~enewal of said opt'on, and

WHEREAS, this body deems it expedient and to the best interest of said Ii
City of Okeechobee, Flor1da, that the renewal be granted. '

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Okeechobee, Florida, !
hereby agrees to se!l, transfer, assign and deliver the said bonds, to-wit: 25
Bonds of the Eagle BaJ Sub-Drainage District of the par value of $25,000; each of
said bonds being in dentmlnation of $1.000 and being a part of b issue of bonds
in the total sum of $100,000, dated Kay 1, 1927, and bearing 1nterest at the rate
of ~ per annum, to Wm E. Griffis, as agent, for Trustees ofsald Eagle Bay Sub-
Drainage District, for the sum of 9% flat, or $1,250, PROVIDED HOWEVER that this
Agreement shall not be bind1ng unless the holders of remaining bonds, œ1O\Ulting to
$75,000 shall sell their bonds for the sum of ~ flat.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in the event any of the holders of like
bonds shall receiT8 a sum in excess of ~ flat, then, in that event, the said City
of Okeechobee, Florida, shall receive a like amount; it being expressly agreed
and understood by any person to whom it mB¥ concern, that the said City of Okee- ¡
chobee, Florida, makes this agreement to sell its bonds at ~f1at for the purpose,
of aiding the Eagle Bay Sub-Drainage District in refinancing its indebtedness and
obligations and that it is to receive an amount for its bonds in proport1on to the
amount held by said City as any other holder of bonds of the same series shall re-
ceiye in exchange for their bonds.
BE 1'1' FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement shall be in full force and .:
effect for a period of four months fxom date hereof, and in the event that Eagle I
Bay Sub-Drainage District shall not complete the financing of its obligations as --
heretofore mentioned, that is to say, from August 31,1935, and shall pay to said
City the sum of money herein specified, then this option to beþ null and Toid, ,
otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
