WHEREAS, H. H. Hancock received the hlghest number of votes for Mayor, and
WHEREAS, T. T. Coleman, Victor J. Domer, Omar L. Hunt, Hiram Raulerson and
R. H. Singletary received the highest votes for City Councilmen, and .
WHEREAS, Alto Watford received the highest number of votes for City 01erk,
, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That H. H. Hancock be, and he is hereby de-
li c1ared elected Mayor of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, and that T. T. Coleman,
Victor J. Domer, Omar L. Hunt, Hiram Raulerson and R. H. Singletary -be, and they
are hereby declared elected City Councilmen of said City of Okeechobee, F10rida,and th~
Alto Watford be, and he is hereby declared elected City Clerk of said City of
Okeeohobee, Florida.
On motion of Councilman Brass, seconded by Counoi1man Walker, Council approved
bill of R..P. Fletcher for $25.00 amount paid by him for clerical help during his
vacation in September 1934 and incident to City Election. -
On motion of Councilman Walker, seconded by Councilman Brett, Council author-
~ ized payment $4.00 each to election Inspectors and Clerk.
On motion of Councilman Brass, seconded by Councilman Brett, Council agreed -
to allow Frank Schutt credit on delinquent City taxes to the amount of $107.10,

for the years 1927 and 1929 1n. cash and the amount which would have been due under
terms of tax reduction allowed by Oounoi1 on October 4th, 1929.
On motion of Councilman Walker, seconded by Councilman Brass, Counoi1 instruc-
ted City Clerk to order one Park Special Lawn Mower -with reel from Zaun Equipment
Company for the sum of $295.00 plus freignt.

On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Oounoi1man Brass, Oounci1
authorized City Tax Oolleotor to allow a discount of $1.19 to Nair Motor Company
on their taxes for the year 1929. .' .

The following Resolution was offered by Councllman McCarthy, who moved its
adoption, motion seconded by Oounci1man Brett and passed:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Oounoi1 of Okeechobee, Florida, deems it to the best lnterest
of sald 01ty to complete the purchase of a ~enerator, which the citizens of Okee-
" chobee' have already contributed the sum of 3100.00 towards the purchase of same, and
WHEREAS, the Council considers it expedient to purchase sald generator ln that
a considerable saving can be effected in 1ightlng the street~ lights of said City
and as emergency power ln pumping water, etc., and
WHEREAS, the General Fund has no funds for the purchase of same, and
WHEREAS, the Park Fund has more money ln said fund than" is necessary for the
lmmediate needs of the parks of sald 01ty.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Councll of Okeechobee Florlda that
the sum o~ $310.00 be borrowed from the Park Fund for purchase of said ge~erator.

be repaid by said General Fund to the Park Fund when funds are available. .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that voucher in the sum of $310.00 be drawn on said .
Park Fund and deposited in General Fund of $a1d City for the sole purpose of pur-
chasing said genera..r and that City voucher be drawn in this amount on the General
Fund in favor of Tampa Armature Works, Ino. in full payment of said generator.
Passed in regular open session this the 1st day of January, A. D. 1935.

Pursuant to c~ll of the Mayor, the City Council of the City of Okeechobee,
Florida, met in specia1~ City Hall at 7.30 o'olook P. M. on the above date
and the following were present: Hð H. Hanoock, Mayor, Alto Watford, President of
City Counoi1, Counoi1men D. B. Mc arthy and A. W. Brass with R. P. Fletcher, City
Clerk, W. S. A. Henderson, Fire Chief" L. L. Conrad, C.hief of Police and L. C.
Tootle, Water Superintendent in attendance.
Councilmen-elect R. H. Singletary, T. T. Coleman, V. J. Domer, H. H. Raulerson
and O. L. Hunt were also p'resent.
Mayor Hanoock stated that meeting had been called for the purpose of consider-
ing further the purchase of a generator and the" use of Park funds for that purpose.

The following Resolution was offered by Counoi1man Brass, who moved its adop-
tion, motion seconded by Oounoi1man MoCarthy and pas~ed:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, by resolution, approved
the purchase of a generator and authorized the City Clerk to prepare a voucher in
the sum of .310.00 payable to Tampa Armature Wo.rkS, Ino. for said generator, and I
WHEREAS, thi s City Council deems it best to pay the sum of $200,.00" at: the
present time, instead of the. s8.id sum of $310.00, . .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the sum of $200.00 be paid to said Tampa, 4IÞ
Armature Works, Ino. at- the present time and the balance of $110.00 be paid wi thin
ninety days from this date or at such time as may be~agreed between the City of Okee-
chobee and the said Tampa Armature Works, Ino., but not less than ninety days from
the date of this Resolution,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the sum of $210.00 be transferred from the Park
Fund of said City to the General Fund for the sole purpose of making payment on the
purchase of said generator and that said transfer shall be a loan and shall be
transferred and repaid to said Park Fund as soon as possible.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Clty Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare a voucher in the sum of $200.00 payable to said Tampa Armature
Works, Inc.
Passed and adopted in open session. this 2nd day of January, A. D. 1935. I
