Purpose of Closing Speckled Perch Festival
Original Signatures of all residents, property owners and business owners affected
by street closing stating whether they approve or object. This can be done on one
list. Make sure if it is a business that the name of the business and owner is legible.
If it is a resident make sure the name and address is legible. (Required of all
applications)
Copy of proof of insurance. (Minimum $1,000,000.00, required of all applications)
Attachments If any items are being sold on City street or sidewalk then a Temporary Use Permit
must be attached for each business participating. Permits can be obtained from
General Services.
State Food Service License if selling food.
State Alcoholic Beverage License. (You can only serve on private property. No
alcoholic beverages on City property, this includes streets and sidewalks)
TEMPORARY STREET AND SIDEWALK CLOSING
I(W'Clean-up is required within 24 hours.
I(W'No alcoholic beverages can be consumed or taken out on City property, streets or sidewalks.
~No donations can be requested if any type of alcoholic beverages are served on private
property/business unless you possess a State Alcoholic Beverage License. Please note there are
inside consumption and outside consumption licenses. You must have the appropriate license.
Q"The City Public Works Department will deliver the appropriate barricades. The City Police
Department will set them out and take them down at the appropriate times.
IQ'Dumpsters and port-a-Iets are required when closing the street for more than 3 hours.

Commerce (for Southwest~, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Avenues between North and South Part< Streets on March 8-9. 2003 from
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. dafIy and Southwest 8" Avenue between North and South Plrt Steel! on March 8 only, from
6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) pertaining to the Annual Speckled Perch Festival; seconded by Council Member Williams.

Council Member Chandler moved to award a construction bid to O'Connor of Okeechobee, base bid amount of
seventy-six thousand, two hundred sixty-five dollars ($76,265.00) related to the Industrial Park (Commerce Center)
Project, pending Economic Development Administration (EDA) approval; seconded by Council Member Williams.
This bid awCYd is fertile Contract 1A City ofOkeechobee Commerce Center Bid No. PW 01-00-01-03. EDA Project
No. 04-01-04895. O'Connor of Okeechobee and McCabe Brothers were the only two bids received. The bid was not
awarded to the low bidder because the bid packet was incomplete and therefore not considered a viable bid.
Administrator Veach advised that the City will not enter into the contract without approval from EDA and commitment
that expenses for this project are reimbursable by EDA grant monies.
