MOTION CARRIED.
Mr. Robert Meyer, of Olde Tyme Construction addressed the Council for a request to purchase the South 40 feet of
Lots 6 and 13 of the City Commerce Center. He has been presented with an opportunity to merge his cast stone
company with a major Southeast Florida corporation. The merger would allow for faster growth and immediate build-
out of his existing project, with a projected 225 increase of potential jobs, half of which would be new job opportunities
for Okeechobee residents. Following a lengthy discussion, Council instructed Attorney Cook to draft the
appropriate option to purchase the additional lands, using the same price as the original 30 acre option.
Attorney Cook also noted adjustments to the deed restrictions may be needed regarding height requirements.
