MOTION CARRIED.
Okeechobee Main Street (OKMS) presented a request for permission to operate a Green Market (also known as a
Farmers Market) within Flagler Park No.2 every Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the Fall Season. The
"mission" or intent of the Market is to provide the community an alternative shopping experience for healthy, fresh
foods and products in a convenient customer friendly environment.
The goal of the Market is to provide an opportunity for local vendors to sell their produce or products to residents of
and visitors to Okeechobee County and surrounding areas. The ideal Market vendor will have grown the product they
sell, or will have produced a product out of locally grown items.
