Oil ~ -4 -O(P Purpose of Closing ~ Original Signatures of all residents, property owners and business owners affected by street closing stating whether they approve or object. This can be done on one list. Make sure if it is a business that the name of the business and owner is legible. If it is a resident make sure the name and address is legible. (Required of all applications) Copy of proof of insurance. (Minimum $1,000,000.00, required of all applications) Attachments If any items are being sold on City street or sidewalk then a Temporary Use Permit must be attached for each business participating. Permits can be obtained from General Services. State Food Service License if selling food. State Alcoholic Beverage License. (You can only serve on private property. No alcoholic beverages on City property, this includes streets and sidewalks) ~Clean-up is required within 24 hours. ~No alcoholic beverages can be consumed or taken out on City property, streets or sidewalks. ~No donations can be requested if any type of alcoholic beverages are served on private property/business unless you possess a State Alcoholic Beverage License. Please note there are inside consumption and outside consumption licenses. You must have the appropriate license. ~The City Public Works Department will deliver the appropriate barricades. The City Police Department will set them out and take them down at the appropriate times. ~Dumpsters and port-a-Iets are required when closing the street for more than 3 hours. Motion to appoint the Design Review Board to consider all Main Street murals on behalf of the City of Okeechobee - Attorney Cook. K. Presentation of Main Street's Quarterly Report - Maureen Burroughs. Council Member Watford moved to approve a temporary street closing request, submitted by Okeechobee Main Street, closing Southeast 3rd Avenue between Southeast Park and 2nd Street on March 3, 2006 at 7:00 a.m. through March 4, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. for its 4th Annual Barbeque; seconded by Council Member Chandler. Council Member Watford moved to approve Okeechobee Main Street's first mural project; seconded by Council Member Chandler. A copy of the proposed mural was distributed to the Council. The mural is being painted on the South side of Haynes and Susan Williams building, located at 909 North Parrott Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Williams are fully funding the project along with local artists who are donating their time. The Mayor and Council thanked Mrs. Waldau for the update, the project is going to be very nice, they hope it is the first of many. The Council also thanked Mr. and Mrs. Williams for their generosity in funding the project and being the first in the mural program. KIRK. YEA CHANDLER. YEA VOTE MARKHAM - YEA WATFORD. YEA WILUAMS . Mrs. Maureen Burroughs, President of OKMS, updated the Council and read the First Quarter Report for 2006. The list of OKMS accomplishments are: Developed and successfully implemented a Farmer's market in Downtown Okeechobee. In conjunction with the Sheriff's department and Chamber of Commerce, successfully sponsored a Halloween Celebration in the downtown park. Working with the City, sponsored downto~n Christmas celebration in conjunction with the tree lighting ceremony. Published their first quarterly newsletter.
