ida, met in special session at the City Hall at 9.00 o'clockA. M. on the above
date and the following were present: H. H. Hanoock, Mayor, Alto Watford, President
of City Council, Councilmen J. H. Walker, Sr., A. W. Brass and J.D. Brett with
R. P. Fletcher, City Clerk, L. L. Conrad, Chief of police and L. C. Tootle, Water
Superintendent in attendance.
Mayor Hancock stated that meeting of Council had been called for the purpose
of considering the enforcement of Ordinance No. 1~3.
After discussing the provisions of Ordinance No. 1~3, on Motion of Councilman
4IÞ . Brass, seconded by Councilman Walker, Council instructed the City Attorney to pre-
II pa;re ,an ordinance repealing Ordinance No. l~ 3.
Upon motion Council went into executive session. Council resumed open session.
On motion of Councilman Brass, seconded by Councilman Brett, Council granted
Chief of Fire Department
W. S. A. Henderson,one week's vacation with pay and agreed to pay the relief fire-
man for his services during the absence of C~ief of Fire Department.
On motion of Councilman Brass, seconded by Councilman Brett, Council a~thorlzed
the following transfers from Water Fund to General Fund: July 21st, $50.00; July
26th, $75.00, and August 1st, $350.00.
Upon motion Council adjourned.

Durrance, City Attorney and W. S. A. Henderson, Fire Chief in attendance.
Minutes of July 2nd, 6th, and 2~th were read. and approved.
Mr. Ellis, representative of the Florida Power & Light Company appeared before
Council relative to payment of City taxes for the years 1932 and 1933 due by said
company and proposed street lighting contract.
I Upon motion duly seconded and passed, Council went into executive session.
Council resumed open session.
Councilman Brett moved that Council enter into street lighting contract with
the Florida Power & Light Company for a period of one year for the sum of $990.00
and that the said Florida Power & Light Company be permitted to pay City taxes for
the years 1932 and 1933 as follows: $1,800.00 in cash and balance in City bonds
except amounts levied under Court order Which must be paid in cash motion seconded
by CoUl1cilman McCarthy and passed by the following vote: '
