Minutes of meetings held April 10th, May 1st, May17th and May 2~th, 193~ were
read and approved.
Judge T. W. Conely, Jr. appeared before Council and requested Council to author- .
ize City Tax Collector to cancel City taxes assessed against Lot 12, Block 1~9 for the
year 1932 ae the building located on eaid lot is used and occupied by the American I
Legion for legion purposes only.
On motion of Councilman Brett, seconded by Councilman Brass, Council authorized
City Tax Collector to cancel the City taxes against Lot 12, Block 149 for the year
1932.
Messrs Crosby and peeples, representing the Florida power & Light Company
appeared before Council relative to payment of City taxes due by said Company for
the years 1932 and 1933 and also with reference to contract for street lights.
After discussing the matter, Council deferred action until the regular meeting on
July 2nd.
On motion of CouncilmB~ Brett, seconded by Councilman Brass, Council fixed
salary of N. O. stewart as special policeman at $~.16 perday.
On motion of Councilman Brett, seconded by Councilman Brass, Council authorized
payment to G. C. Durrance, City Attorney, of his salary for the month of June in I
advance.
