R. P. Fletcher, City Clerk and City Tax Assessor presented the City Tax Assessment
~11 for the year 1933 to ~e City Co=il for review Md eq~izMion. I
President Pro-tern Walker announced that City Council would receive and consider
objections to the valuations 9n the City Tax Assessment Roll for the year 1933
as fixed by the City Tax Assessor.
No objections to the valuations on said Tax Roll as fixed by the City Tax
Assessor were received by the City Com1cil.
The City Council having finished the review and equalization of the City Tax
Assessment Roll for the year 1933 as prepared by the City Tax Assessor, on motion of
Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Brett, Council returned said Roll to
the City Tax Assessor for completion. 4IÞ

On motion Council adjourned to meet in special sessi2DIat 7.30 o'clock P. M.
October 17th, 1933, for the purpose of preparing and adopting a budget for the II
City of Okeechobee, Florida, for the year 19341 fixing a tax levy for the tax

Pursúant to adjournment, the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida,
met in the City Hall àt 7.30 o'clock P. M. on the above date for the purpose of
preparhng and adopting a budget for the City of Okeechobee, Florida, for the year
and such other business as maycome before Council
1934 and fixing a tax levy for the tax assessment roll for the year l~and the
following were present: Alto Watford, President of City Com1cil and Acting Mayor,
J. H. Walker, President Pro-tern. of City Council, Councilmen J. D. Brett and A. ~
Brass with R. P. Fletcher, City Clerk, G. C. Durrance, City Attorney and L. L. II
Conrad in attendance.
The City Clerk presented petitions of Albert Berka and H. H. Hancock as 4IÞ
candidates for Mayor in the Special City Election to be held on November 7th, 1933.
CoUl1cilmro1 Brass moved that the following ballot be declared the official ~-
ballot for the Special City Election to be held November 7th, 1933, motion
seconded by Councilman Brett and passed.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE
CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR A. D. 1933.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE,
FLORIDA:
Section One. That the Oi ty of Okeechobee, Florida, hereby levies Ii tax of
Thlrty-nlne (39) mills ,¡t»n each dollar valuation of re.al a.nd personal property
within the corporate llmits of said city, subjeœv to t.axation on the flrst day
of January A. D. 1933. Such tax to be assessed and collected in the manner provided
by law.
Section Two. That Twenty (20) mills of such tax shall be used for generB~ city
~
purposes and shall be assessed for the General Fund of said city; That ten (10)
mills of such tax shall be used for the purpose of paying interest on certain bonds
of said City, known as City of Okeechobee Municipal Improvement Bonds, dated Feb-
ruary 1st, 1926, and more particularly described in that final decree, entered in
the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Okeechobee County, Florida, on the 14th
