Okeeohobee, Florida, June 6, 1933.
The City Counvil of the City of Okeeohobee, Florida, met in regular session .
at th, City Hall at B.OO o'clock P. M. on the above date and the following were
present: J. Denham Bird, Mayor, Alto Watford, President of City Council, Council-
men A. W. Brass, V~otor Domer, J. H. Walker, Sr. and D. B. MoCarthy with R. P.
Fletoher, City Clerk, G. C. Durr:il.noe, City Attorney, L. C. Tootle, Water Superinten- ,
dent and L. L. Conrad, Chief of Police in attendance.
Minutes of April 25th, May 2nd and May 13th, 1933 were re:il.d and approved.
. Mr. T. W. Conely, Jr. appeared before Council in behalf of Clara B. Walker,
assignee of account due C. F. Walker by City for ditching and grading and he re-
quested Council to pay Clara B. Walker $100.00 on the acoow1t. 4IÞ

account, motion seconded b~ Councilman MoCarthy and on roll call was adopted by

Mr. T. W. Conely, Jr. addressed Council relative to extension of City water
main to Cypress Quarters in East Okeeohobee.' After discussing the ma.tter same wa.s ."
referred to th~ Water Committee for further investigation.

Oomnnmication from oi tizens of Okeechobee stating that they m-e not opposed"
to the operation of theater on Sunday was received and filed.
Councilman Domer moved that theater be required to close on Sunday during
the hours of Churoh service. Motion lost for want of a second.
Applications for license to sell vinous and malt beverages within the oorpor- I
ate limits of Okeeohobee, Florida, were received from the following: I. J. Swindall,
H. G. Culbreth and Jones & MoDaniel, ~1d upon motion of Councilman Brass, seconded 4IÞ
by Councilman MoCarthy, Counol1 authorized City Clerk and Tax Collector to issue
110enses to said persons.
Councilman MoOarthy moved that City Clerk and Tax Clolleotor be authorized
to issue license for sale of vinous and malt beverages to the Great Atlantio &

Paoi~io Tea Company upon thelr filing proper application and paying amount due
for license, motion seconded by Vounoilman Brass and passed.
Councilman MoCarthy moved that City buy Chief of Police one uniform and extra
pair of pants of l~ oz. material, motion seconded by Councilman Brass and passed.
