Walker, Sr. and passed:, RES 0 L U T.I 0 N Ii :: IHERlAS, the City Attorney was instructed by this Council of Lot 10, of Block ii , ., II 164 and Let 10 of Block 165 in the City of Okeechobee that the buildings located II " on said property were dangerous to traffic and considered serious fire .hazardsl il and that unless said owners repaired said buildings immediately or removed see ,I ! , i that this Council would order same condemned wi thin thirty days, and Ii :1 WHERlAS, the City Attorney g&S advised this Council that due and proper notic~ II was served on the owner of Lot 10, Block 164 and that a notice to the owners of Ii 'I ,- Lot 10, Block 165 waR returned undelivered; that since said notice was returned i! " the owner. of said property last above mentioned stated orally that they would not II 1--- I' repair sdd buildinCs and had no obj ection to same being removed, free of cost to !I II Ii them. i'l NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Councilof the City of Okeechobee, !I Florida, ~at said buildings be, and the same ue hereby condemned and the City .1 Ii Inspector is hereby authorized and instructed to have said buildings removed imme1 tately. 1 Passed and adopted in open session this 11th day of March A. I 0 R DIN AN C E ~o. l3~ AN ORDINANOE PROVIDING FOR THE PUNISHMENT OF ANYONE OONVIOTED OF LAROENY. I ,. BE IT ORDAIIiED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, I FLORIDA: ~ . SECTION 1. Whoever takes, steaJ.s and carries away of the property of another I any money, goods or chattels, bank notes, bonds, promissory notes or any other ". r- personal property of any kind whatsoever, if the property so stolen and carried II I away ià of the value of less than fifty dollars shaJ.l be deemed guilty of Petit i Larceny and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by imprisonment in the City i I Jail not exceeding three months or by fine not exceeding One Hundred Dollars, or i by both such fine and imprisonment. . Denham Bird i¡11 Mayor. ~ I The City Council was notified that the County of Okeechobee had agreed ~o - accept the sum of $381.00 in full settlement of personal property taxes due by the I I Peoples Bank of Okeechobee, provided the Oi ty would agree to a settlement, and II on motion of Co=c1h~ Beñ~, BecoMed by Co=c1h~ J. H. W~er, Sr., ~d cur1e1' Council authorized, the City Clerk to accept the sum of 8250.00 cash in full settle-I ment of personal property taxes of said Peoples Bùk, provided the li~uidator of 'I said Bank will pay all real estate taxes now due on the bank building and office adjacent thereto within fifteen days from this date.
