Public participation for any issues not on the agenda requires an Agenda Item Form or Comment Card. Citizen comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker unless otherwise approved by the Mayor. IV. CONSENT AGENDA A. Dispense with the reading and approve the July 16, 2024, and July 24, 2024, Minutes (Exhibit 1). B. Cancel the October 1, 2024, Regular Meeting. C. Appoint Dora Roberts as an Alternate Member to the Planning Board, the Board of Adjustment, and the Design Review Board, term beginning August 7, 2024, and ending April 30, 2027 (Exhibit 2). D. Appoint John Gilliland as the Regular Member to the Okeechobee Utility Authority, term beginning August 7, 2024. and ending March 1, 2025 (Exhibit 3). E. Temporarily close a portion of SW 3rd and 4th Avenues between North and South Park Streets from 5:00 P.M. on September 1, 2024, to 5:00 P.M. on September 2, 2024, for the Labor Day Festival as submitted by Okeechobee Main Street (Exhibit 4). F. Approve a Park Use for a Farmer's Market as submitted by Okeechobee Main Street from 3:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month beginning with October 2, 2024, and ending April 16, 2025 (Exhibit 5). V. NEW BUSINESS A. Discussion of Street Sweeper Purchase (Exhibit 6). B. Motion to approve the agreement with the Okeechobee County School Board for the 2024-2025 School Resource Office Program (Exhibit 7). C. Motion to approve the Second Amendment to the Contract for Building Official and Inspection Services with JC Newell Construction Inspection Services, Inc. (Exhibit 8). 1I • • VI.
