M. on the above date and the following were present: J. Denham Bird, Mayor, Alto Watford, President of City Council, Councilmen I Albert Berka, J. H. Walker, Sr., and D. B. McCarthy with R. P. Fletcher, City Clerk, L. L. Conrad, Chief of police, L. C. Tootle, Water Superintendent and T. W. Conely, I I Jr., City Attorney in attendance. \ Minutes of meeting held September 1st, 1931 were read and approved.. Mr. E. G. Arndt appeared before Council relative to the amount of his water bill for the month of September. ~ Mayor Bird recommended that Council appoint L. C. Tootle a policeman of the City of Okeeohobee. I l"- I Councilman Berka. moved that Council appoint L. C. Tootle a policeman of the . ' Ci ty of Oke'ttohobee, Florida, effective from th.is date, and that he be required 1\ to furnish surety bond in the sum of $~, motion seconded by Councilman it 'I MoCarthy and passed. \ Counoilman Berka moved that OOUllcll authorize the President of City OOunoi1' I and the City Clerk to execute note in the sum of $2, 750. 00 payable to American- ' II LaFrance and Foamite Industries, Ine.,'dated February 15th, 1931 and due Deoember lst, 1931 with interest at 610, motion seconded by Councilman J. H. Walker, Sr. and passed. On motion duly seconded and carried, Council adjourned. to meet at 7.30 o'clock I P. M.
