Code Officer Smith and Curl observed the above-mentioned property to be in violation of the City Ordinances Chapter 30 Sections 30-40 Junk, 30-41 Disabled vehicles, 30-43 Public nuisances, and 30-44 General cleaning and beautification: overgrown grass, weeds, bushes, shrubs, and trees, disabled unregistered vehicle in the rear of the property in the alleyway, and junk, trash, and debris all over the property. Junk/debris stored on an airboat. The exterior of the home in need of being power washed. Photos in file. February 14, 2024 Courtesy Card, photos, and city ordinances mailed via USPS regular mail, giving the property owner 14 days to correct the violation March 11, 2024 Code Officer Smith inspected the property; still non-compliant, grass, weeds, shrubs, bushes, and trees remain overgrown. Junk, trash, and debris remain all over the property, disabled vehicle remain in the city right of way. The exterior of the home needs maintenance. Photos in the file. March 14, 2024 SOV/NOH, photos and a copy of the city ordinance mailed via USPS certified return receipt for the April 9th Hearing. Received by Crystal Staton on March 20, 2024. May 6, 2024 Homeowner Ms. Staton called into the office and spoke with Code Officer Smith and advised that the property was compliant and ready for an inspection. I advised her that I would be out to inspect the property for compliance.
