July 31, 2023 Code Officer Smith received a call from Christian Gros about his property.
He advised that the renter refuses to let him clean and cut the yard. The
renter is verbally and physically aggressive and he doesn't want to create
a bad situation. He also advised that the renter is moving out in 2 weeks,
and he would get the property in compliance.
August 16,2023 Code Officer Smith inspected the property; still non-compliant, the grass
has been cut, but there is an appliance in the middle of the yard, along with
trash and debris in the yard.
August 17, 2023 SOV/NOH, photos and city ordinances mailed out via USPS certified return signature August
receipt for the October 10th Hearing. Photos in file. not legible 24, 2023
August 24, 2023 The homeowner called in, spoke to Code Officer Smith, and advised that
the trash,junk, and debris will be removed from the property today. He was
advised that the property would be inspected next week on Monday. If
anything came up, he would be called and advised.
August 29, 2023 Code Officer Smith inspected the property; in compliance, all the debris
and trash has been removed from the property. Photos in file. Case
Closed.
Compliance Letter mailed out via USPS regular mail.
City Recommendation:
The City recommends no action on this matter, but request it be noted for the record to have been
in violation of Chapter 30, Sections 30-43 Public nuisances, and 30-44 General cleaning and
beautification from July 26, 2023 until the property came into compliance on August 29, 2023, no
lien/order was recorded, no fine accrued.

Property has overgrown grass, weeds bushes, shrubs, and trees. Junk/Debris all over the
property. Photo in the file.
July 26, 2023 Courtesy Card, photos and city ordinances mailed via USPS regular mail, giving the property
owner 14 days to correct the violation
July 31, 2023 Code Officer Smith received a call from Christian Gros about his property. He advised that the
renter refuses to let him clean and cut the yard. The renter is verbally and physically aggressive

Pursuant to Florida Statutes 162.02 and 162.12, Florida Statutes, and the Code of Ordinances of City of
Okeechobee, I (hereinafter the"City of Okeechobee), the undersigned Code Enforcement Officer hereby gives
notice of an uncorrected violation of the City of Okeechobee Code,as more particularly described herein,and
hereby requests a Hearing before the Okeechobee City Code Enforcement Special Magistrate.
1. Violation of City Code Chapter/Section:Chapter 30 Sections 30-4, 30-43, and 30-44
2. Address and Parcel#where violation exists: 1100 SE 5th St, Okeechobee, FL

3. Name and address of property owner or person in charge of location where violation exists:
Christiano S. Gros, 636 NE 101st St, Miami Shores, FL 33138-2468
4. Description of Violation:
Overgrown grass, weeds, bushes, shrubs, and trees. Trash and debris all
over the property.
5. Date violation must be corrected by: Oct 3, 2023
6. Date violation first observed on or about:Jul 26, 2023
Unless Respondent corrects the violation described herein by the date set forth above AND contacts the undersigned Code
Inspector to verify compliance,with the Okeechobee City Code Section(s)cited herein,you are hereby called upon to take
notice that a Hearing will be held in this cause before the City of Okeechobee Code Enforcement Magistrate on the 10th
day October, 2023 at 6:00 P.M.,located at 55 SE 3rd Ave Okeechobee City Hall,Okeechobee Florida 34974 in
Council Chambers.The Magistrate will receive testimony and evidence at said Hearing and shall make findings of fact and
conclusions of law as are supported by the evidence and testimony,and shall make an order thereupon.You are entitled to be
represented by counsel,present evidence,and present testimony.Please be advised that any evidence presented to the
Magistrate for his consideration will be retained by Code Compliance Department. If you fail to appear at the hearing the
Magistrate may enter an Order of Violation,& impose a fine in your absence.
