August 17, Code Officer Smith inspected the property; still non-compliant,the siding remains an issue Erin Wilson August 21,
2023 along with the maintenance and cleaning of the buildings. There are mattresses and 2023.
furniture on the side of the road. The grass needs to be cut as well.
SOV/NOH, photos and city ordinances mailed out via USPS certified return receipt for the
October 10th Hearing. Photos in file.
October 4, Ramsey James (General Manager) 352-257-0032 called in and spoke to Code Officer
2023 Smith and he was advised how long and what needed to be done to bring the property into
compliance before fines start to accrue.
Code Officer Smith inspected the property; still non-compliant; the outside of the buildings
has been pressured wash and the gable siding on the buildings have been repaired;
however, trash/debris has been left around the dumpster and on the property in two areas
and the exterior of the dumpster area needs to be cleaned as well. Photos in file.
• To comply with City ordinances, the property owner needs to remove the debris on the property,
make repairs to the roof and pressure clean the wall around the dumpster.
City Recommendation:
The City recommends a fine of$100.00 per day, to begin 21 days after the date of the Special Magistrate
Hearing on October 10, 2023, unless the property owner brings the property into compliance on or before
that date, plus a $50.00 administrative fee.

conditions: the exterior of the apartment buildings in need of maintenance and cleaning,
multiple roofs in need of repair. Photos in the file.
July 19, 2023 Courtesy Card, photos and city ordinances mailed via USPS regular mail, giving the property
owner 14 days to correct the violation.
August 3, 2023 Code Officer Smith inspected the property; still non-compliant, the siding on the building in need
of being replaced, exterior of the apartment building in need of maintenance and cleaning and roof
repairs. Photos in file.
August 17, 2023 Code Officer Smith inspected the property; still non-compliant,the siding remains an issue along
the maintenance and cleaning of the building and mattresses and furniture on the side of the road.
The grass needs to be cut as well.

STATEMENT OF VIOLATION AND NOTICE OF HEARING
Pursuant to Florida Statutes 162.02 and 162.12, Florida Statutes, and the Code of Ordinances of City of
Okeechobee, I(hereinafter the "City of Okeechobee), the undersigned Code Enforcement Officer hereby gives
notice of an uncorrected violation of the City of Okeechobee Code, as more particularly described herein,and
hereby requests a Hearing before the Okeechobee City Code Enforcement Special Magistrate.
1. Violation of City Code Chapter/Section:CH30 Sec 30-4, 30-43, and 30-44. IPMC CH 3 Sec 304.1.1

4. Description of Violation:
Overgrown grass, and trash/debris. Roofs in need of repair, exterior of
the apartment buildings in need of cleaning and siding needing to be replaced on multiple buildings.

Unless Respondent corrects the violation described herein by the date set forth above AND contacts the undersigned Code
Inspector to verify compliance,with the Okeechobee City Code Section(s)cited herein,you are hereby called upon to take
notice that a Hearing will be held in this cause before the City of Okeechobee Code Enforcement Magistrate on the 10th
day October, 2023 at 6:00 P.M., located at 55 SE 3rd Ave Okeechobee City Hall,Okeechobee Florida 34974 in
Council Chambers.The Magistrate will receive testimony and evidence at said Hearing and shall make findings of fact and
conclusions of law as are supported by the evidence and testimony,and shall make an order thereupon.You are entitled to be
represented by counsel,present evidence,and present testimony.Please be advised that any evidence presented to the
Magistrate for his consideration will be retained by Code Compliance Department. If you fail to appear at the hearing the
