SPECIAL MAGISTRATE HEARINGS
TO BE HELD
AUGUST THROUGH DECEMBER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Okeechobee Code Enforcement
Special Magistrate (CESM) will hold regular hearings on the second Tuesday of
each month, at 6 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible at City Hall, 55 SE 3rd AVE,
Rm 200, Okeechobee, Florida. The public is invited to attend and be heard on 11
all matters. 1
The regular hearing schedule for the remainder of 2023 is as follows:
August 8, 2023 September 12, 2023 October 10, 2023
November 14, 2023 December 12, 2023
The agenda will be posted one week prior to the hearing date and may be viewed/
downloaded from https://www.cityofokeechobee.com/ AgendaM in utes-Code-
Enforcement.html or in the Code Enforcement Office at 50 SE 2F AVE.
A hearing may be canceled if there are no items for consideration. For further
information on a particular hearing, contact Code Enforcement Officers at 863-
763-9802.
BE ADVISED that should you intend to show any document, picture, video, or
items to the CESM in support or opposition to any item on the agenda, a copy of
the document, picture, video, or item must be provided to the Code Enforcement
Secretary for the City's records. ANY PERSON DECIDING TO APPEAL any
decision made by the CESM with respect to any matter considered at this meeting
will need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceeding is made and the record
includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal will be based. In
accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with disabilities
needing special accommodation to participate in this proceeding should contact
the Code Enforcement Office in person or call 863-763-9802, Hearing Impaired:
Florida Relay 7-1-1 no later than four business days prior to proceeding.
ONE OR MORE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE COUNCIL MEMBERS MAY BE IN ATTENDANCE
AT THIS HEARING. THIS NOTICE IS POSTED TO MEET STATE PUBLIC NOTICE
REQUIREMENTS AND SUNSHINE LAWS.
