By receipt of this permit, the applicant agrees and shall hold the City harmless for any accident, injury, claim or demand whatever arises out of applicant's use of location for such event, and shall indemnify and defend the City for such incident, including attorney fees. The applicant shall be subject to demand for, and payment of, all of the actual costs incurred by the City pertaining to the event including, but not limited to, Police, Fire, Public Works or other departmental expenses. The City reserves the right to require from an applicant a cashier's check or advance deposit in the sum approximated by the City to be incurred in providing City services. He said people would just gather in the Park first and then walk down the road he said with a police escort in the front and back to the Douglas Park area for more activities to take place there. He indicated he had spoken to the Sheriff already and he was fine with it but told him to check with us. Back in the day they used to have a parade but there will be no vehicles or floats for this one. I am not sure if we need permission from FDOT (not really sure if just a lane would be occupied or if they would have to walk on sidewalk)???? How you would like me to handle this, is it something they could do this year, not sure about whether there is enough time for notification to Police Department or if Public Works would need to do anything with signage??? Would I just have them fill out an application like we did for the Catholic Church last month and would they need to provide insurance since they would be meeting in the Park or could we waive that requirement? He said people would just gather in the Park first and then walk down the road he said with a police escort in the front and back to the Douglas Park area for more activities to take place there. He indicated he had spoken to the Sheriff already and he was fine with it but told him to check with us. Back in the day they used to have a parade but there will be no vehicles or floats for this one. I am not sure if we need permission from FDOT (not really sure if just a lane would be occupied or if they would have to walk on sidewalk)???? How you would like me to handle this, is it something they could do this year, not sure about whether there is enough time for notification to Police Department or if Public Works would need to do anything with signage??? Would I just have them fill out an application like we did for the Catholic Church last month and would they need to provide insurance since they would be meeting in the Park or could we waive that requirement?
