abandoned doghouse remains, and the roof on the barn has not
been repair/replaced.

on the property, overgrown weeds, grass, bushes, or shrubs, trash, yard debris, or junk all
over the property, several appliances in the yard, abandoned doghouse by the fence, the
roof on the pole barn and fence in need of repair and Chapter 10, Section 10-8 Public
nuisance for having several roosters on the property constantly crowing. Photos in file.

March 3, 2023 Code Officer Curl received an email from Mr. Bryan Bormann with three videos attached that he

Thank you so much for the assistance with this issue of I believe rooters (3 of them it seems
visible from the street) making noise some mornings as early as 5:00 A.M well into the
afternoon some days.

Good afternoon Amy,
We have received two complaints reference to roosters crowing all hours of the day and night for more than 20 mins
continuously.
The first compliant is at 525 SE 13th Ave and 515 SE 13th Ave, where roosters and chickens are being kept. The residences
are occupied by a mother(525) and her son (515). The complaint believes that the son owns the animals. Below you will
find our correspondence with the complaint Mr. John Wright who resides at 535 SE 13th Ave and the property overviews
attached.
The second complaint is at 1007 SW Park St, where at least three roosters are being kept. The compliant is Bryan Bormann
at 1010 SW 2nd St. I have attached the videos that Mr. Bormann shared with me from this morning that he recorded at 6:35
am, 7:05 am and 7:30 am, along with the property overview.
Code Enforcement will be conducting inspections of the properties and will be sending notices to the homeowners, however
if Animal Control can be of any immediate assistance to try to provide some relief for the homeowners it would be greatly
appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at(863) 763-9795.

STATEMENT OF VIOLATION AND NOTICE OF HEARING
Pursuant to Florida Statutes 162.02 and 162.12,Florida Statutes,and the Code of Ordinances of City of
Okeechobee,I(hereinafter the"City of Okeechobee),the undersigned Code Enforcement Officer hereby gives
notice of an uncorrected violation of the City of Okeechobee Code,as more particularly described herein,and
hereby requests a Hearing before the Okeechobee City Code Enforcement Special Magistrate.
1. Violation of City Code Chapter/Section:CH 30, Sections 30-40, 30-41, 30-43, 30-44

Disabled vehicle, overgrown weeds, grass, bushes or shrubs, yard
debris/junk all over the property several appliances in yard roof on pole barn needs repair

Inspector to verify compliance,with the Okeechobee City Code Section(s)cited herein,you are hereby called upon to take
notice that a Hearing will be held in this cause before the City of Okeechobee Code Enforcement Magistrate on the 9th
day May, 2023 at 6:00 P.M.,located at 55 SE 3rd Ave Okeechobee City Hall,Okeechobee Florida 34974 in
Council Chambers.The Magistrate will receive testimony and evidence at said Hearing and shall make findings of fact and
conclusions of law as are supported by the evidence and testimony,and shall make an order thereupon.You are entitled to be
represented by counsel,present evidence,and present testimony.Please be advised that any evidence presented to the
Magistrate for his consideration will be retained by Code Compliance Department.If you fail to appear at the hearing the
Magistrate may enter an Order of Violation,&impose a fine in your absence. /�
