B. City Attorney Greg Hyden reviewed proposed amendments to the Code Enforcement procedures, powers of
Magistrate, and fine reductions utilizing a 16-page Power Point presentation [as presented in Exhibit 2]. The
recommended changes were presented as follows:

Amend Section 18-38 (b):
an order of the magistrate to the circuit court in F.S. §
162.11, including but not limited to the magistrate's
determination of a fine reduction. Fine reductions are only Ll 4- xtAth- pirociu
authorized for properties that have been brought into full
compliance with city's code of ordinances and in which the
property owner has no other open code violations or liens
on any other property in the city. In evaluating a request

Magistrate, and fine reductions utilizing a 16-page Power Point presentation [as presented in Exhibit 2]. The
