II " " Minu,es of meeting held March 4th, 1930 were read and ap1;)roved. ¡I il Councilman Berka, moved that Council authorize and approve the organization of 11 II a volunteer fire dapartment for the City of Okeechobee to consist of not more than I! - three volunteer firemen and that each volunteer fireman be paid a salary of 84.00 i per r:.onth, motion seconded by Councilman Ben Walker and carried. i ~ Jouncilman Berka moved that Ci ty Day C. F. Walker $100.00 on estimates for II I grading and ditching, motion seconded by Councilman J. H. Walker, Sr. and carried. AN ORDINANOE REQUIRING LIOENSE OR STREET TAX IN CERTAIN OASES II " IN THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: MAKING IT A VIOLATION OF Ii THIS ORDINANCE TO OPERATE ON THE STREETS OF SAID CITY WITHOUT ~ 1'1 HAVING PROCURED SUCH LICENSE AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR THE II VIOLATION THEREOF. II II Ii BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEE:)HOBEE, II (' FLORIDA. 11 I ,I Section l. Any person, persons, firm, firms, association or corporation sell- II - ing any goods, wares or merchandise for human use or cons~mption within the corpor-I ate limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, '!\Then and where such goods, wares, or II merchandi se are retailed or wholesaled from conveyances which use the streets of II I I' salbd City for deli very to the retailer or the consumer of such goods, wares, mer- II i! I' . chandise or other articles for human use or consupption, wh~ch said person, persons,il firm, firms, associations or corporations do not have regularly establishe~ and Ii-II ,i censed places of business wi thin the corporate limits of the City of Okeechobee, !I Ii i Florida, be and the same are hereby required to pay a license fee and/or street tax I! i in the sum of Ten (~IO.OO) dollars uer annum ill r- 'if..
