The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular session I
in the City Hall a,t 7.30 o'clock P. M. and the following were present: J. D. Bird, !--
Mayor, H. L. Chandler, President of City Council, Councilm~ñ ~eh Walker, S. R.
Raifsnider, Albèrt Berka a,nd J. H. Walker, Sr., with R. P. Fletcher, City Clerk,

L. W. Jennings, City Attorney, L. C. Tootle, Water Superintendent, and Lon Stewart,
Chief of Police in attendance.
Minutes of Meetings held December 3rd and December 13th, 1929 were read and
approved.
Mr. William Griffis addres8ed Council and suggested that Council pass resolutio ,
relative to type of dites and levees to be built around Lake Okeechobee under pro- ~
posed flood control bills now pending in Congress. The matter was referred to the

Councilman Berka suggested that Council preparè' resolution relative to passage I . ¡--
