ELECTION OF MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR A. Consider nomination(s) and appoint a nominee to serve a two-year term as Mayor, as provided in Section C-2.2, C. of the Charter. B. Consider nomination(s) and appoint a nominee to serve a two-year term as Vice Mayor as provided in Section C- 2.2, D. of the Charter. V. PRESENTATIONS AND PROCLAMATIONS A. Presentation honoring Jonathan Crawford. B. Presentation honoring Kutter Crawford. VI. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A. Discussion regarding proposed Ordinance No 1270, amending Chapter 14 Businesses, Section 14-173 Fireworks and Chapter 30, Environment, Section 30-43 Public Nuisances of the Code of Ordinances, as revised at the December 20, 2022, meeting (Exhibit 1). VII. NEW BUSINESS A. Consider two-year appointments for the Mayor, Vice, Mayor, Council Members or Staff to serve as a Liaison on behalf of the City to various boards/committees(Exhibit 2). 1. Regular and Alternate Members to the Central Florida Regional Planning Council. 2. Regular and Alternate Members to the Treasure Coast Regional Leave of Cities. 3. Regular and Alternate Members to the Treasure Coast Council of Local Governments. 4. Regular Member to Okeechobee County Healthy Start Coalition. 5. Two Regular Members to the Okeechobee Tourist Development Council. 6. Okeechobee Main Street. 7. Okeechobee County Juvenile Justice Council. 8. Okeechobee Historical Society. 9. Battle of Okeechobee Re-enactment Committee. 10. Chamber of Commerce of Okeechobee County. • B. Motion to approve letter of support on behalf of Indian River State College(IRSC)and its local partners to seek a public land transfer from the Florida School for Boys to the IRSC District Board of Trustees(Exhibit 3).
