V. PRESENTATIONS AND PROCLAMATIONS
A. Presentation honoring Jonathon Crawford.
• Mayor Watford presented Mr. Jonathon Crawford with a Certificate of Outstanding
Achievement that was read into the _record as follows: "Whereas, the City--of—
Okeechobee, Florida deems it befitting to honor individuals of our community who
inspire others to dream, do more, and become more; and Whereas, Mr. Jonathon---
Crawford, was raised in Okeechobee, graduated from Okeechobee High School as a
Four-Year Varsity Letterman in Baseball. He attended the University of Florida from
August 2010 through December 2016, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in
• Family;Youth, and Community Services.o-2010 to 2013, he played baseball as a
Florida Gators pitcher, and had many outstanding collegiate career achievements,
including playing for the United States Collegiate National Baseball Team in the
summer of 2012; and Whereas, Jonathon was selected in the first-round of the 2013
Major League Baseball Draft by the Detroit Tigers, debuting that season with the
Connecticut Tigers. He has gone on to play for the West Michigan Whitecaps, the
Cincinnati Reds, the Arizona Complex League Reds, the Daytona Tortugas, the
Chicago Dogs of the American Association of Professional Baseball, and the High
Point Rockers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball; and Whereas, As
testament of-Jonathon's dedication to the game oTGaseball and his fortitude to
recover from multiple injuries, in 2020 during the height of theCOVID-19 global
pandemic, he signed on to play for Team Texas of the Constellation Energy League,
a makeshift four-team independent league formed as a way to create playing
opportunities for minor and major league baseball players that were limited due to
i the travel restrictions during the pandemic. Now, Therefore, I, Dowling R. Watford,
Jr., by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Okeechobee,
proudly recognize Jonathon's academic and athletic achievements. May he, along
with his younger brother Kutter, continue to serve as mentors and leaders for the
youth of our community."

Mayor Watford presented Mr. Kutter Crawford with a Certificate of Outstanding
Achievement that was read into the record as follows: "Whereas, the City of
Okeechobee, Florida deems it befitting to honor individuals of our community who
inspire others to dream, do more, and become more; andWhereas, Mr. Kutter
Crawford, was raised in Okeechobee, graduated from Okeechobee High School as a
Four-Year Varsity Letterman in Baseball and Golf. His collegiate career began in
2015 at Indian River State College where he also played baseball his Freshman and
Sophomore years. He then transferred to Florida Gulf Coast University, where he
completed his bachelor's degree in December 2019, and played his Junior year as a

pitcher for-the FGCU Eagles. He had several outstanding collegiate baseball career
achievements during his Junior year, most notably being named the Atlantic Sun
Pitcher of the Week in March of 2017; and Whereas, Kutter was selected in the
sixteenth-round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft by the Boston Red Sox and
made his professional pitching debut with the Lowell Spinners of the New York-
Penn League. He has since gone on to play for the Greenville Drive,_the Salem Red
Sox, Portland Seadogs, Worchester Red Sox, and the Dominican Professional
Baseball League during the off-season. In 2021 he was the recipient of the Red Sox'
Lou Gorman Award, and in 2022 the Boston Red Sox added Kutter to their rosters to

start the 2022 baseball season. Now, Therefore, I, Dowling R. Watford,dr., by virtue
of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Okeechobee, proudly recognize
Kutter's academic and athletic achievements, and wish him continued success as a
