NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the City of
Okeechobee Board of Adjustment (BOA) on May 19, 2022, 6 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible
at City Hall, 55 SE 3rd AVE, Rm 200, Okeechobee, FL.
The public is invited to attend and be heard on all matters. Copies of the agenda will be available
at the meeting, or prior to the meeting and may be viewed and/or downloaded from

The following Applications)/Petition(s) will be considered during this meeting, which can be

• No. 22.001-SE, submitted by Jason Ferrell, on behalf of himself as one of two property owners, and Dowling
R. Watford, Jr., Personal Representative for Martha B. Watford, as Trustee of the Martha B. Watford
Revocable Trust U/A Dated April 12, 2005, the second property owner. The request is to allow outdoor sales
and storage, building trades contractor in a Heavy Commercial (CHV) zoning district, as allowed by Code of
Ordinances Section 90-283(5). The Ferrell property is located at 800 NW Park Street and is 0.33+/- acres
with two existing structures. Previously approved Special Exception #16-001-SE (outdoor vehicles sales lot)
is planned for continuation and the additional proposed use of this property is outdoor display and sales of
carports, sheds, and farm equipment. Legal Description: LOTS 11 TO 12 OF BLOCK 162, OKEECHOBEE,
PLAT BOOK 5, PAGE 5, OKEECHOBEE COUNTY PUBLIC RECORDS. The Watford property, located to
the North of and contagious to the Ferrell property, in the 100 block between NW 8th and 9t1l Avenues, is
0.98+/- acres, and the proposed use is for outdoor display and sales of carports, sheds, and farm equipment.
Legal Description: LOTS 1 TO 6 OF BLOCK 162, OKEECHOBEE, PLAT BOOK 5, PAGE 5, OKEECHOBEE
COUNTY PUBLIC RECORDS.
