NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Regular Scheduled City Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday, September
20, 2022 has been Rescheduled to Monday, September 26, 2022, at 6 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible, at
City Hall, 55 SE 3rd AVE, Rm 200, Okeechobee, FL.
The Final Budget Public Hearing is to consider for adoption, the proposed 2022-23 Fiscal Year Annual Budget.
The public is invited to attend and be heard on all matters. Copies of the agenda will be available at the meeting,

In addition to general items of discussion and consideration, a Public Hearing will be conducted to consider

• ORDINANCE NO. 1266: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE,
FLORIDA; LEVYING THE AD VALOREM PROPERTY TAX MILLAGE RATE FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES ON
ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF STATE LAW
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2022 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2023; PROVIDING
THAT 6.8987 PER THOUSAND DOLLAR VALUATION SHALL NOT BE LEVIED ON HOMESTEAD
PROPERTY; THAT 6.8987 VALUATION SHALL BE USED FOR GENERAL CITY PURPOSES; THAT SAID
MILLAGE RATE IS ZERO PERCENT (0.00%) MORE THAN THE ROLL -BACK RATE OF 6.8987 COMPUTED

OTHER FIXED OBLIGATIONS OF THE CITY FOR AND DURING THE FISCAL YEAR; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
