Minutes of, meetings held June 4th, June 7th and June lOth, 1929 were ~ead and
approved.
The matter of installing culvert in drainage ditch on Eighth Street in front of
Methodist Church was referred to street Committee.

The matter of street light on corner of Osceola and South Park Streets in front
of Peoples Bank was referred to Light Committee. -

On motion of 09unçilman Chandler, seconded by Councilman, R~fsnider, Council
went into executive session.

Councilman Raifenider moved that Oounoil elect a Chief of Police for a term of
. six months beginning July 1st, 1929 and ending December 31st, 1929, motion seconded
by Oounoilman Berka and carried. 1
The vote for Chief of Police was taken by ballot and was as follows:
Lon Stewart received three votes
Lee Brewer received one vote.
Lon stewart was declared ele~ted Chief of Police for a term of six months be-
ginning July 1st, 1929 and ending December 31st, 1929; whereupon Lon stewart being
present agreed to aoøept said office for the term of six months.
