Jennings, City Attorney, Lon. stewart, Ohief of Police and L. C. Tootle, Water S~erintendent in attendance. Minutes of December 4th and December 6th, 1-928 were read and approved. I The matter of leasing Lots 4-, 5 and $-, Block 134 to WID. Griffis wag. referred to the Water and Light Committee to negotiate terms of proposed lease. Messrs. Tomasello ànd Pi tts appeared before Council rel-ative to Bert ,Melville Players performing tmder the auspices of the American Legion without the payment of City license. ; Oouncilman Chandler moved that Bert Melville Players be allowed to perform under the auspices of the American Legion and that the City occupationalli'cenee be remitted to the American Legion, motion seconded b¡rÖOouncilman Hancock and carried. 'I I I I Oouncïlman-eleot Albert Berka appeared befø~e Council and requested that on account of the gubernatorial inaugurat1on on January 8th, 1929, that the inauguratio~ ~ of the Gity Council be postponed fro, January 7th, 1929 to January 15th 1929. Whereupon Councilman H. L. Chandler was appointed as a committee to interview Mr. . S. R. Raifsnider the other newly elected City Councilman and ascertain whether it would be agreeable to him. Wnereupon Councilman Chandler retired w1d upon his return reported that he had had an interview with Xr. Raifsnider and-that the postponement of the inauguration of the new City Co~1ci1 from January 7th, 1929 to January 15th 1929 was satisfactory to Mr. Raifsnider. Councilman Chandler moved that the inauguration of the new City Council be 1 postponed from January 7th, 1929 to January 15th, 1929, motion seconded by Council- ; man Hancock and carri ed.
