M. ~ids were received, opened and read aloud for the purchase of a Middle Series ~a~to used by the Police Department, 4- Door, Heater, Tu~w Signal, Back- up lights, Sp Light', Automatic Transmission, at least §0 Amp Genavator,~ also min- imum of 250 H ~ower - Trade in allowance on 1957 Ford IntercePtor. Bids were re- ceived f~rom: 0ke Motor Company - $2,24'0.00 ~rt Chevrolet Company - 2,347.00 Councilman moved to accept the bid from Gilbert Chewolet Company in the amount of $2 [?.00, seconded by Councilma~ Warlord and carried.unanimously. A ~cussion of the needed space in the Clerk's office was heard a~tePwhich Councilman Ro moved to fix room adjacent to Mayor's office for W. V. Wilson, Jr. and to purcha~ fou~ blinds for the Clerk's office, seconded by Councilman Minehan and unani carried. A ter of request from Lee Engineering and Construction Oompany for a sixty day time exten~, ion on their contract in constructing the Griffith SeWage Treatment Plant, request due ~1o a delay in shipment of material. The Council d~ferred the matter for present ti~ in order to examine the contract with ·said .Company. ~he ollow[ng bills were presented for payment: Lee Engineering and Con- · s~t~uction Comp 6th estimate on construction of Sewage Treatment plant; 1st payment water to W. W. Armol. Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $6,403.50: for a new/pump and motor at plant; Rolland A. Sharp, Engineer, for engineering services for January and in the amount of $3,105.17 and Lee Engineering and Construction. Company for construction of a 4 inch water main and valves to new sewage t rest- merit plant in amount of $§,?9?.00. Councilman Gardner moved to r~tain payment on above bills ~u il further examination and investigation seconded by Councilman Minehan and carriede Al Hendry requested to prepare Easement on water line and street right of way to treatment plant.
