Barbara Mills, in the Circuit Court of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Okeechobee County Case No. 47 2020 CC 000194 CCAX, (City Case No. 190215011). Date: March 29, 2021 This property was the subject of a foreclosure action filed by the City in 2020. The property sold to a new owner before it was set for the foreclosure auction and the new owner purchased it subject to the lien. The new owner reached agreement with City staff of a recommended settlement of the lien. The original lien amount is $7,425. The recommended settlement is $3,667. The settlement amount is less than half of the original lien and will cover the City’s attorney’s fees and administrative costs. Staff recommends settlement of the lien for $3,667.
