The City OouLcil of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular session at ~
the Oi ty Hall at 7.30 0' clock p. m. and the following were present: J. Denham Bird, _'
Ma.yor, Isaiah Casey, President of Council, Councilmen H. H. Hancock, Don P. John-
ston, H. L. Chandler and Ben Walker with R. P. Fletcher, Clerk, Lon Stewart, Chief
of Police, L. C. Tootle, Water Sunerintendent and L. 'Y. Jennings, City Attorney in
attendance.
~inutes of meet~ng held February 21st 1928 were read and approved.
~r. H. H. DeYarman appeared before Council in regard to payment of bill due
.standard Oil lJompany for gasoline and oil sold to City during month of January.
, ~r. D. B. Mc~arthy appeared before Council relative to City furnishing him ~
mater for resale to inhabitants of subdivisions West of City limits, and requested

Jouncil to fix rate on water sold to him for this ,purpose. Action on matter was
deferred until next reguali.C/1lmeeting of Council.
Mr. W. E. Hol:nes"addressed Council with reference to the sale of the Oity,water'
plant.
Plat of Pearce's subdivision was approved by Council.
Councilman Johnston moved that City Attorney be instructed to coonerate with
Light CœflniÌttcc ::'1'; v'riting letter to Florida Power & Light Company relative to
length of time street lights shall be Kent turned on, motion seconded by Councilman
Walker and nassed.
Council discusseà the matter of isPuing refunding bonds to pay interest and
principal and other indebtedness of the City now due and soon to become due.

1:r. H. B. Cra-ren representing The Ha.nchett Bond Compa.ny addressed Council and
outlined a olan for refinancing the City.
Upon motion d,.11y seconded and carried, Council ,went into executive session.

Councilman Johnston moved that Clerk be auth~rized to make the following trans-:
fer of City funds: 1250.00 from Pa^k Fund to I & S 1924 Bond F=d #17; $400.00 fr~ l
Fire Protection FU:lc! to I & S 1924 Bond Fund ;11=17; ~60.oo from Special General Fund ',,- :
to I & S 19-;1 Bond Fund #17, motion seclJnðed by Counc ilman ChAndler and passed.
